Trocadero is a district and 16th arrondissement of Paris near the Eiffel Tower.
Home to the famous Avenue Foch which is the widest street in Paris. It was created in the 1860’s. Napoleon III wanted to make it the most beautiful avenue in the world, the avenue was named avenue de l’Imperatrice Napoleon’s wife later on the name changed to Avenue de Bois and finally in 1922 Avenue Foch after Ferdinand Foch the great marshal and supreme commander of allied forces during world war 1’s end. The Bois de Boulogue, a park located here and hosted the first motor race in the Paris Cup in 1945 after the Second World War.
